Secondo l’Osservatorio del Politecnico di Milano nella gran parte dei casi le strutture organizzative non sono dotate di una struttura di governance adeguata a garantire un'opportuna gestione omnicanale. Nei mesi appena trascorsi le aziende si sono dovute adoperare velocemente ai bisogni dei consumatori, rintanati in casa a causa dell’emergenza Covid-19. Ora che molte aziende hanno agevolato i servizi dell’eCommerce saranno anche in grado di adoperarsi in maniera celere all’omnicanalità?
I dati relativi alle imprese italiane evidenziano la presenza di diverse barriere strategiche all'implementazione di una strategia pienamente omnicanale per i propri clienti.
Innanzitutto, la prospettiva posiziona al centro il prodotto e non il singolo consumatore.
Ci sono inoltre mancanze sulle competenze necessarie per la gestione dell'omnichannel customer experience sia in termini di competenze verticali (ad esempio di gestione del dato, di analisi del comportamento del consumatore/customer journey, advanced analytics, content management, ecc.) sia di soft skill (come change management, capacità di coordinamento, collaborazione, ecc.).
Il grado di maturità delle aziende in Italia sul tema omnicanalità non si può, quindi, definire maturo. Per ora.
Un ulteriore elemento su cui le aziende devono lavorare per implementare una strategia omnicanale è rappresentato dall’enorme quantità di dati che ruotano attorno al singolo consumatore ma che non riescono a valorizzare e ancor meno ad analizzare. Il volume di dati a disposizione delle organizzazioni, secondo svariati studi, è in crescita esponenziale e rappresenta una miniera d’oro per il business aziendale. Dietro la moltitudine dei dati si cela la storia del singolo individuo e del suo comportamento da acquirente.
Nel 42% dei casi le imprese giudicano nulla, o al più limitata, la propria capacità di generare valore di business dai dati raccolti sui consumatori e solo il 2% la giudica ottima. Le difficoltà maggiori che le imprese segnalano in merito alla gestione dei dati sono:
- la mancanza di una centralizzazione dei dati;
- la difficoltà a integrare dati online e offline;
- problematiche di natura legale
Tutto ciò evidenzia come si sia diffusa la consapevolezza dell'importanza di gestire in modo integrato i diversi canali di relazione con il consumatore, ma allo stesso si faccia fatica a metterla in pratica, a causa di molte barriere da superare. Una mancanza cultura organizzativa, lacune tecnologiche ed organizzative, mancanza di strutture in grado di dialogare tra loro impediscono una fluida conquista dell’omnicanalità da parte delle aziende.
