In the month of May, the total digital audience reached 44.9 million individuals, equal to 76.8% of the population aged 2 years and over, connected from Mobile (Smartphone and/or Tablet) and Computer for a total of 74 hours.

In this month of observation, 48.6% of individuals aged 2+ years used the Computer, an increase of 3.3% compared to April, a month marked by some holidays that reduced the usage of this device. On the average day, 37.6 million individuals accessed the Internet at least once from the monitored devices (64.4% of the population aged 2 and over), online for an average of 2 hours and 51 minutes per person.
The time spent online on the average day recorded an increase of 5.6% compared to the previous month, with 2 hours and 39 minutes spent on average per person, reaching 3 hours for individuals aged 18 to 34 years.
Data by gender and age groups
Going into the details of the profiles of online users on the average day of this month of observation, it is noted that 82.8% of the adult population accessed the Internet at least once from Mobile on the average day of May, with a penetration level of at least 85% among individuals aged 18-24 years (85.7%) and 45-54 years (85.2%), reaching 86.8% for 35-44 year-olds. Additionally, 94.5% of the population aged 18 to 74 years (40.3 million) accessed the Internet from Mobile, generating 88.4% of the total online time, with a higher concentration among women, accounting for 91% of the time generated by usage from these devices.
Data based on geographical origin
The distribution of online access from Mobile and Computer across the national territory continues to show proportions aligned with the trend of the past three months, with 69.2% of the population aged 2+ years accessing the Internet on the average day in the North-West area (10.8 million), 64.8% in the North-East area (7.4 million), 63.1% in the Center (7.3 million), and 61.2% in the South and Islands areas (12.1 million).
