Advertising Spending Italy July 2017

  • Advertising investments in Italy referred to July 2017 divided by sector and medium according to Nielsen data.

The first six months of 2017 is marked by advertising spending slightly down from the previous year, the down is about – 1,2%.

Analyzing the month of July 2017 you can see how some media denote a decrease:

Outdoor has a variation of -19,3% and this represents the average most affected by this contraction. In this way there are the Newspapers (-10,9%), Cinema (-8,0%), Periodic (-7,1%), TV (-3,4%) and Internet (-1,9%). The average recording the highest growth rate is the GO TV (+ 12%).

The Sectors with the largest market share are Households (+ 51,7%), Games and School Items (+ 44,4%), Informatic Services and Fotography (+26%) and Industry and Construction (+ 7,9%); The largest decrease is recorded in the following sectors: Toiletries (-18,5%), Finance and Insurance (-13,6%) and Distribution (-10,9%).
