Advertising Spending Italy October 2016

  • Advertising investments in Italy referred to October 2016 divided by sector and medium according to Nielsen data.

The first ten months of the year are marked by advertising expenses decreased compared to the previous year, a decrease which amounted to -1.7%.

Analyzing the month of October 2016 you can see how some media show a decrease:

GO TV with a variation of -8,8% and is the media that the most affected by this decline. Then we find Newspapers (-7,2%), Direct Mail (-5,7%), Periodicals (-3,8%), Transit (-4,4%), Internet (-2,8%) and Outdoor (-0,7%).

The media which recorded growth are: TV (+6,4%), Cinema (+2,8%) and Radio (+0,2%).

As for the investment sectors Industry / Construction / Activities with the highest positive (+ 35,4%). The sectors which hold the largest share of the market  Food and Automotive saw a variation of -0,1%, +8,5%; the largest decrease is marked by the following sectors: Games / Articles School (-13,1%), Finance / Insurance (-12,2%), Clothing (-9,5%).
