Internet Audience April 2017

  • The data about Internet users from Pc and Mobile in April 2017 are available

Unique users connected to the Internet at least once in the month of April 2017 are 30,4 million with an average time of browsing of 56 hours and 24 minutes per person. If we analyze the data by the average day, we can see that the total audience amounts to 23,7 million users, connected for 2 hours and 25 minutes.

As for the audience from Mobile devices during the period of April 2017, we can see that there are 26,4 million unique users monthly connected to the Internet, from the age group which goes from 18 to 74 years, with an average time of 51 hours and 54 minutes per person. The users connected by smartphone or tablet on the average day are 21,2 million with an average browsing time of 2 hours and 9 minutes per person.

The majority of the total time spent online during the month of April 2017 was generated by an Internet surfing from Mobile with 21,2 million unique users in the average day, against 10,2 million unique users from PC: this data shows the importance that users give to smartphone and tablets in their life and the time they devote to these devices.

The age group 18 to 34 years confirms a high use of the Internet from Mobile, specifically the age group which goes from 18 to 24 years is 66,3% and 25-34 years are 63,2%.

Regarding the consumption data for the month of April, Search Sites and General Portals arrives to the first place with about 93,7% and 90,9% of online users. Then we find the Social Network with 87,3% of users and almost 16 hours per person. Among other categories are Videos / Movies with 83,4% of online users, Email (74,8% of online users) and News (63,1% of online users).
