Advertising Spending Italy September 2016

  • Advertising investments in Italy referred to September 2016 divided by sector and medium according to Nielsen data

The first nine months of the year are marked by advertising expenses increased compared to the previous year, with growth stood at + 2.5%.

Analyzing the month of September 2016 you can see how some media show a decrease:

GO TV with a variation of -10.4% and is the media that the most affected by this decline. Then we find Newspapers (-6%), Direct Mail (-4.8%), Periodicals (-3.8%) and Transit (-3.4%)

The media which recorded growth are: Cinema (+ 8.6%), TV (+ 7%), Radio (+ 0.6%), Outdoor (+ 0.4%)

As for the investment Industry/Construction/Activities sectors with the highest positive (+34.6%). The sectors which hold the largest share of the market or Appliances and Distribution saw a variation of + 30.6%, +17.2%; the largest decrease is marked by the following sectors: Games / Articles School (-15.5%), Finance/Insurance (-13.7%), Clothing (-6.5%).
