Advertising Spending Italy June 2016

  • Advertising investments in Italy referred to June 2016 divided by sector and medium according to Nielsen data

The first six months of the year are marked by advertising expenses increased compared to the previous year, with growth stood at + 3.5%.

Analyzing the month of June 2016 it can be seen as some media show a decrease:

The Direct Marketing posted a variation of -7.2% and is the media that the most affected by this decline. Then we find newspapers (-4.9%), Go Tv (-3.1%), Periodicals (-3.0%) and the Internet (1.9%)

The media which recorded growth are: Cinema (+ 18.4%), Transit (+ 9.3%), TV (+ 7.8%), Transit (+ 3.5%), Outdoor (+1, 6%).

As regards the investment sectors Leisure records the highest positive sign (+25.4%). The sectors which hold the largest share of the market, or Food and Automotive recorded a variation of +1.2%, +9.0%; the largest decrease is marked by the following sectors: Games/Articles School (-16.6%), Finance/Insurance (-14.8%), Computers/Photography (-13.8%).
