Nielsen data related to advertising spending in Italy for the first quarter 2012 have been published.
On the first quarter 2012 advertising spending is falling compared to the same period in 2011, with a decrease by -7,5%.
The most relevant data concern Internet (+8,5%) and Out Of Home TV (+11,6%).
Nielsen analyzed data from January to March 2012, recording a total advertising spending in Italy for more than 1,9 billion euros, with a decrease by -7,5% compared to 2011.
Many media denote a negative growth. Television shows a slowdown of -8,3%. All the other media (Radio, Press, Outdoor and Transit) also record negative trends compared to 2011. Cinema records the worse situation: -29,7% compared to 2011.
Internet records a substantial increase(+8,5%), surpassing 152 milion euros of investment. Data show an growth in advertising spending for Out of Home TV (+11,6%): over 2,2 milion euros of investment.
